More Massage at the Brecon 10 peaks!
Another successful weekend of massaging for the girls of LV sports massage.
This time Fran and I were situated in a beautiful location in Talybont on Usk for the Clif Bar 10 peaks.
I arrived on the Friday night and got to know the organisers and competitors and treated a few runners with last minute niggles, then up at 4am for pre event massage. A big thank you to everyone who helped me put my marquee up for the first time.. I now know to bring a step ladder with me next time!!!
The athletes set off at 5am for a 58 mile trek up and down the peaks of the Brecon Beacons. The winner of the long course came back in an amazing 11 hours, whilst many took a little longer!
Hats off to everyone who made it back.
A big thank you to all the organisers and marshalls who helped make the event so successful and to the Mountain Rescue team who not only worked hard to keep the runners safe but also showed off their talents in blister popping under sterile conditions!
I hope we helped many of the guys with our treatments and that we reduced the effects of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). In other words.. you could actually walk on Monday morning!
